Just a little bit of my knowledge about Enducation System in U.K...

there are 2 kinds of schools in U.K: public and private schools.

+ Public schools: schools funed by government called "state schools", free school free paying ==> for The poor
+ Private schools: which comprises "independent schools"...it means you are a good student with school fee-paying ==> for The rich.

Nearly all schools work a five-day week, with no half-day and are closed on Saturdays. The day starts at or just before 9 o'clock and finishes between 3 and 4. The lunch break usually lasts about an hour -and-a quarter. Nearly 2/3 of students have lunch provided by the school. Parents pay for this, excepted for the 15% who are rated poor enough for it to be free. Other student either go home for lucnh or take sanwiches.

British schools have tended to give such a high priority to sport. Sporting success enhances the reputation of an institution.

School year: schools usually divide their year into 3 "terms", starting at the beginning of September.

1. Autumn term
---Xmas holiday (2 weeks off)
2. Spring term
---Easter holiday (2 weeks off)
3. Summer term
---Summer holiday (6 weeks off)

Types of university:
+ Oxbridge (Oxford and Cambridge) They are federations of semi-independent colleges , each colleges havings its own staff, known as "Fellows"
+ The old Scottish universities: Scotland boasted 4 universities. They are Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and St Andrews.
+ The Campus Universities: located in the countryside but close to town ...they are East Anglia, Lancaster, Sussex and Warwick .
